Rained a lot last night and the parking lot flooded should I try and get it out or leave it till it dries? Or is it definitely flooded and it doesn’t matter. Also note the water was probably higher last night.
If there’s a clear path to higher ground, then definitely, yes. Your car is fine right now, but if the water level goes any higher and gets into the electronics, you’re screwed. If you can easily drive it out of the water and get it parked in a non-flooded area, without having to drive through deeper water, do it.
If the exhaust is under i would tow it to higher ground first and let it drain before trying to start but that doesnt seem so bad at the moment
Shift into neutral without starting engine, push it out and get it on slight in cline w tail pipe towards the downward slope so water will drip out if it’s in tailpipe. If not then you’re good to start it once you push it out.
Just place a sponge block, and tap some buckets down on the remaining water blocks
Is the water rising or falling?
Should be fine to move. Just keep it very slow like 4mph slow. I am saying to keep it slow because i once had killed my o2 sensors driving too fast in water like this.
I’m sure the water went down by the time you got this pick so probably already flooded inside
The drain is probably blocked.
I would open door. If it’s flooded leave it and let insurance come handle it. Don’t move it at all.
You can.
Yes. Take your shoes and socks off, roll your pants up (assuming that’s what you are wearing), and walk to it before the water level reaches above the door sill totaling the car.
Full of morons in here. You’re fine. Fire it up.
Send it.
No wait till the water drains more
I hate when that happens
