I don’t think there would be an ev market without Tesla showing the way

When you have huge market share it’s going to naturally go down as the market matures. They are doing just fine and make money selling them vs everyone slowing down. I question how legacy catches Tesla this way. I think it’s very short sighted
Dealers don’t care about how much money the factory loses producing these units. They buy them and sell them to the public.
Dealers don’t like them because they see them as rope to hang their service business and largely they don’t want to train people to sell them. They see the writing on the wall, evs will destroy legacy shitty dealers
Tesla is competing on the same field.
The legacy manufacturers are screwed. Pulling back when they need to put the same work in that tesla did years ago marks them for death.
No, I use that time to charge it.
Its not that people arent interested in "EV’. They arent interested in Ford’s EVs! The big 3 are faking their EV implementations. They arent available, they are last gen, expensive for an inferior product, and the dealer network actively shuns them.
Vw made the bed it now has to sleep in
There’s a reason GM got rid of the Volt. Hybrids carry around a ton of dead weight.
Its a 50k car though. I’d prefer full EV for less.
I never worry about range in my Tesla. Driving to Florida and back was actually fun
