Non ha alcun senso una proposta del genere da parte di WordPress. Non sappiamo neanche quali linguaggi e tecnologie esisteranno fra 20 anni, figurarsi fra 100!
@damtux eh sì, capita proprio a fagiolo. Ora fra chef che stanno studiando nuove ricette e ricercatori che creano nuovi circuiti, abbiamo trovato la soluzione al problema del granchio blu.

Mancano solo due cose a mio avviso:
- una buona integrazione con OpenStreetMaps
- l’integrazione con Mozilla Firefox (soprattutto l’app Android) che ad oggi non consente di ricevere i suggerimenti mentre digiti.
@Filippodb Io fra le alternative preferisco Brave Search, che ha un suo indice e non pesca (almeno per i risultati web) da altri siti.

@Madmonkey @supercriticalcheese Aggiungo un’immagine importante: già oggi l’AI di Waymo è più sicura nell’evitare le collisioni rispetto ad un super-umano con visione 10/10 e sempre concentrato sulla strada nei momenti antecedenti l’incidente.
Statisticamente avremo centinaia di migliaia di morti e feriti in meno e una riduzione del 20% (per le auto) e del 40-45% (per i tir) dei consumi.

- 2 incidenti (senza feriti)
- 18 contatti minori
Mi sembra un ottimo risultato per una tecnologia “acerba”. E mentre la guida umana non può migliorare, quella dell’AI sta migliorando mentre siamo qui a scrivere…

- In 10 anni la maggior parte dei veicoli venduti nei Paesi sviluppati avrà una qualche forma di guida autonoma.
- In 20 anni 1/3 del parco veicoli avrà guida autonoma di qualche tipo
- In 30 anni più di metà del parco veicoli avrà guida autonoma e saranno venduti solo veicoli a guida 100% autonoma.
@informapirata @ilgallo @informatica Guidare non è un diritto. E’ una necessità che abbiamo oggi. Nella mia visione un domani chi vorrà guidare, gareggiare e misurare la propria bravura con gli altri potrà farlo negli autodromi o in occasioni speciali e ben organizzate come ad esempio la Millemiglia.
Man mano le auto con un volante diventeranno sempre più rare fino a scomparire quasi del tutto.
@Madmonkey @supercriticalcheese il safety report di Waymo (il progetto di guida autonoma Google) è un buon punto da cui iniziare. Il loro “autista” ha alle spalle circa 40 milioni di km su strade reali e 25 miliardi (👈🏻 miliardi) in simulazioni che ricreano le condizioni reali.

Tesla punta ad una guida autonoma più economica (non usa il LIDAR, ma semplici telecamere ad esempio) ma ad oggi è meno sicura di quella Google.
@ilgallo @informapirata @informatica la sicurezza significa che non c’è un cretino al volante che guarda il cellulare (quasi ogni giorno sul mio tragitto casa-lavoro becco un micro incidente “da WhatsApp”, come li definisco io, con rallentamenti per migliaia di persone), che non c’è un ubriaco al volante, che non ti viene in colpo di sonno o un momento di distrazione.
La guida autonoma è infinitamente più veloce nella reazione di emergenza di qualsiasi autista umano, anche il più esperto.
@informapirata @ilgallo @informatica Dal punto di vista normativo purtroppo ancora non c’è nulla. Ma immagino che a tendere non dovrebbe discostarsi troppo da ciò che oggi già regola quei sistemi automatizzati che sono intorno a noi:
- problema di progettazione SW/HW? Paga il produttore
- manutenzione / revisione non effettuata? Paga l’utilizzatore
Resta il problema della responsabilità penale, ma credo che diventerà una questione di soldi, al netto di eventuale dolo accertato.

Semplicemente ora non sono convenienti quelle davvero sicure perché richiedono troppi sensori costosi, mentre si vuole arrivare ad un livello di sicurezza superiore a quella umana con pochi sensori economici e telecamere (vedi Tesla)
@ilgallo @informapirata @informatica Infatti non sono meno sicure. È una funzione di sicurezza quella di bloccare il veicolo se c’è un oggetto sul parabrezza, proprio perché potrebbe essere un animale, una persona o un ramo di un albero.
Ma questi “attivisti” (che probabilmente hanno interessi dietro questa boutade) fanno finta di non saperlo.
