It’s COVID. The LA Auto Show in 2018 was legit. A lot of debuts and such. The two auto shows I’ve been to since they started after COVID have been noticeably weaker.
It’s not explained in this article, but the suspension sounds wild. Historically, when you accelerate hard, the nose lifts. And when you brake hard, the nose dips. Not with PAR. When you accelerate, the rear suspension raises to keep the car flat. Braking results in the front suspension being raised.
Manual Volvos.
A buddy of mine who travels a lot was driven in a newer, manual XC60. My brain twisted hearing that.
Non-destination driving. Just find a road and drive. Maybe find another road and drive some more. Some straights for speed, then some curves in the hills and mountains. And if I had to choose, give me curves/turns all day.
