RJ shared that all Rivians have backwards compatibility. It’s something they’re working on implementing.

I had a Tesla, now have a Rivian. Live in a conservative area. I’ve noticed the Rivian really pisses the small peepee coal rolling diesel trucks off. It’s pretty funny how it gets under their skin. I’ve grown accustomed to hitting the accelerator hard when they try to roll me.
