Wow, that’s seriously impressive. Did you end up getting your VW?

My reasons, in order:

1. I like the idea of “sticking it to the man”. I no longer have to worry what the price of gas is. The more things I move to electricity, the more I can become energy independent, once I get the solar panel setup I want
2. From a tech standpoint, I just find it cool driving on a battery power train
3. The speed is nice. I find myself getting out of more situations where I’d normally just suck it up behind a very slow driver.

Can you still easily find the Bolt? I know GM said they’re bringing it back, but I don’t think they’re doing so at the same price point. So as of now, your only options are the few new ones still around (good luck getting them at MSRP) and used ones, which is definitely an option.

Concerning whether an EV is practical for you or not in your purchase decision, it doesn’t matter whether everyone has a home to charge or not, **it only matters if you can setup a charger at home or not. **
