Plenty of people’s edge is somewhere around Weenie Hut Junior which definitely complicates things when you also want to capture the “uses all the hard skulls in Halo” crowd.

Elaborate. Is your position that it is never appropriate to control access to something? That microcultures aren’t worth preserving? That people with money deserve to do anything they want without judgment? Or do you just think I’m being disingenuous and used a commonly unpopular group to defend my position?

Eh, a little gatekeeping is good. Especially when it prevents people with more dollars than sense from overrunning the culture of an enthusiast group.

No it’s not structurally “plastic” but it’s not biodegradable or reusable which is the point at hand so I think it was a reasonable comparison. (I also said “basically plastic” which clearly indicates similarity rather than equation)

I just put my hand over the hole, takes two seconds. And I don’t have to clear out under the sink and get a bucket. (And it’s only very rarely necessary)

Plungers certainly do help with sinks. Loosens up a partial clog easily in my experience.
