Hasan Poker ain’t for everyone but he’s super knowledgeable and provides great context for ongoing issues. I mainly watch on YouTube so the clips are edited down and even more context (charts, sources, etc) are added.

I mean, what did you think when you learned that the US was worried about something as basic as surgical/n95 masks during the pandemic because we simply didn’t produce any domestically?
Seems absolutely silly not to think your country should have some say in how computer processors are developed. I highly recommend the book Chip War to anyone interested in learning more.
That all said, my understanding is all chip design is dependent on design software entirely owned by US companies - so there’s that at least.
I didn’t think any of those companies did any manufacturing. Are we talking about the same thing? My understanding was there was only three names in manufacturing (the ones I mentioned)
What do you mean by it would force us not to tiptoe around China?
On that note, what do you think about Trump’s policy against Huawei when he was president? I’m inclined to think it’s a good thing despite it not being something Obama (or Clinton or Biden/Harris) would do
Is it really a good idea to let Taiwan and Samsung control all semiconductor manufacturing?
Old people: huh? What’s a wifi
Meanwhile… other huge companies like intel are laying off 15k workers
Have you/Has anyone seen the r/worldnews subreddit lately? Shit’s wild! Can’t imagine how hard it would be to join/leave that community and learn the truth
You can/should try to understand how that’s logically sound
For example, if you never exercise and eat terrible shit your entire life, you can expect every doctor’s visit to be worse than the last. Same with the dentist or going to the mechanic when you fail to do required maintenance.
Yeah I’ll believe it when I see it
Hmm… not bad. I only watched 5ish min, but he seems genuine - that is to say, he realizes he fucked up, not that he’ll actually change anything
More interesting, to me, as someone that had only heard about this from headlines, you can clearly see the mental illness pervasive in his community by looking at the comments and even moreso by looking at the guy’s room. Dude is someone we should pity, not hate - granted I understand influencers having massive platforms, and well influence
Still, I wish we could be more like the Palestinians and Arabs he mentions, that checked on him to see if he was ok, instead of the knee-jerk, quick to react Americans we are, that are ready to pounce on a fallen neighbor enemy and eager to find ways we’re different to further divide ourselves
Isn’t she more of a neo-liberal? What makes her con vs lib to you/y’all
Right… but she’s not gonna do that.
We have to force her and well we’re probably not gonna do that either, but that’s def more likely to work
I salute you good sir! That’s plenty of space to squeeze past if necessary 😁 Just maintain a constant speed and you’re a hero
Still kinda makes a lot of sense though. Pretty easy to see how the Simpsons, back to the future, etc could see it coming
Tbf that is helpful info
I remember being surprised to realize/remember that there are (were?) totally kids that will knock on a new neighbor’s door to ask their parents if they could come out to meet them and play
Imagine… taking action to put yourself out there and meet friends. That’s kinda wild
I was referring to the general support for the military industrial complex. Maybe the answer’s obvious but it feels like mainstream media has never noticed/accepted/publicized its effect on politicians and legislation in general
Well the second question’s easy. The goal always seems to be to cut all forms of federal spending
Now, the regular poor people that believe and support this stuff, no idea
That’s very interesting! I could totally see that happening
Do you have a source you can share? Only asking since I looked up “New Hampshire Democrat primary” and didn’t immediately find anything other than primary results
My inclination has always been to not call myself a Dem, avoid affiliating with the party, and geneeally shit on them. However, I’ve been thinking, we should be trying to learn how the tea party took over the Republican party and doing that. They did an absolutely remarkable job
That said, there’s a lot of differences, they’re white in a white supremacist nation, for one
