  • There is no such thing as too many miles a week, the more you use a car the better it is as long as you keep up with maintenance.

    There is such a thing as too little miles so make sure you at least once every two to four weeks the car hot and drive enough to warm all the moving parts and cycle the fuel in the tank (unless you prepped your car for longer term storage).

    you seem to put about 100k in 7 years or 15k/year. While that is the higher end of average milage for an American that is nothing to be worried about as long as the maintenance is being done.


    1. a base corolla in the us is the LE model, they don’t even sell the L model anymore (as far as I know). So base models everywhere are not the same.

    2. if you remove all the safety sense tech (which is standard here), airbags, cheaper fabric more plastic, eliminate the emissions system, the d4s and high-pressure fuel system, and the power mirrors and driver seats, now that really lower a lot of the cost.

    So seeing that 21k corolla in the us/euro market can defiantly be cut to around 15k if we get rid of the emissions and tech in it.
