When you buy Shell diesel for example, you are not just buying a fuel, you are buying a technology for the engine of your car. Shell put additives into the fuel that cleans and conditions the engine, improving performance and economy, that is why I choose to pay more.
That cheap diesel you use does your engine more harm than good, it lowers performance, and fuel economy, and fills your petrol tank with gunk.
Speaking of which, never run your car down to E. Bingo fuel for me, is always a quarter of a tank, not one drop less. I cycle thirty litres of regular and VPower, and my car runs like a dream, it has performance, and economy.
I keep sport mode for schooling. I am happy to drive in eco-pro when I just want to cruise, whilst listening to jazz.
I have a sports automatic gearbox, and I have never needed to flip the gearstick left, or use the paddles. When I turn on sport mode, the default settings are very sharp, unbelieveable acceleration.
2015 430D modified 320bhp 720nm.
Before I bought my 430D, I was manual only, and I enjoyed it. Now that I have my 430D, automatic is the only way forwards. I have the sports automatic gearbox in my car, and it is lots of fun.
I main Eco Pro, I keep sport mode for the times when I want to go loud. my 430d has 320bhp, it is fast when warmed up. I love flipping into sport mode, I feel like Michael Knight pressing the ‘super pursuit mode’ button.
