2 different things are going on here. Your battery is flat. And you weren’t jumping the car correctly. You can jump-start a car that doesn’t even have a battery in it.

About the flat battery, it will not be hurt from staying flat overnight. Get it on a car charger, not jumper, if you still can’t get the car jumped. If you do manage to get it jumped (watch a YouTube tutorial to see which cables in which order, make sure the other car is running etc) then run the car for at least a good half hour to an hour before shutting it off again to put some juice back into it.
