This is EU: united to share benefits, when catastrophes happen each one is left on its own. Afterwards, they wonder why there are so many eurosceptics. When Italy collapses (because it certainly will) they’ll be ready to buy everything low cost.

I assume this is not frequently implemented because it’s a nuisance (from a developer’s point of view) if you centralized all API requests in a shared component, since you have to point to another base URL on the fly. I am developing a small “toy” client myself and I implemented this feature because I wanted to explore all (and only) the communities on a given instance to list them and access their posts. But subscribing to a community from another instance is more difficult. Since it’s not a highly requested feature, maybe many projects prefer to focus on other features.

You are right, they are trying to direct the anger towards minorities and immigrants, in order to avert the blame towards oppressing landlords and entrepreneurs. But today we have social media and a generally higher level of education, so it won’t be as easy as in the past centuries.

“Pisică” sounds a lot like “pussycat” and is the generic term but in specific it can refer to female specimens, while males are “pisoi” (“tomcat”). I’m not Romanian though, so more knowledgeable people please correct me.

This is just a maneuver to extort money from visitors. Venice is a public city and if the municipality needs money they can tax residents like any other city. Except that nobody want to live in Venice because of reasons, so they want to exploit tourists. If I were a foreigner, I would simply change my destination.

People are allowing for this to happen, aren’t they? Maybe when they are touched by the consequences we, as society, will react.

Government forms aren’t carved in marble and completely immutable, constitutions allow for modifications to adapt to changing times, without overturning any institution.

Unpopular opinion: the North is only rich due to exploitation of the South both in terms of assets and cheap labor, in what has been a sort of internal colonialism. Maybe a little exaggerated but it renders the idea to foreigners.
