  • Good question.

So as a dad storage space is big for me. The Y has a ton of storage. Tesla obviously is also known for being big in the autopilot market and the cars have a lot of fun features like the dog mode thing and changing the horn, etc.

Then on the other side Tesla only had 6 months of free supercharging, the warranty wasn’t as good, and lately a lot of people I know who own Teslas are complaining about quality control issues. Tesla also seems to be moving toward a subscription based process for a lot of the extra features on their cars and I’m tired of having everything be subscription based these days.

Those are some of the things, hope that helps

  • From what I understand Hyundai can also use Tesla’s network. They have a charging station section on their website that shows them on a map and there’s probably 30 within 20 miles of me and it includes Tesla stations as well.

As far as maintenance there’s no oil to change but they still top off fluids check brakes, hoses, rotate tires, replace air filters, check battery connections, wash it and charge it. My dealership offers complimentary charging any time I stop by as well.

It’s not a lot per se but when I had my Chevrolet I had to pay for all my service.
