Also, playing the bundle at the same time as a friend is a nice experience! You start talking about what games you’ve tried and give each other hints and stuff.
This is an experience I wish I can have. I feel like a middle schooler again as I play each game, wanting to go to my pals and go nonstop about what I found.
As OP, I am blown away at how many commenters are missing the point.
Is there a strong correlation between someone who plays League of Legends and someone who is a annoying troll of a person?
Yes.
No one else is calling it out so I think I will:
Everything after FFXII looked the god damn same. Then it’s world building was so overwhelming, like it’s really too good for you to understand unless “You’re with it.”
Persona, Yakuza:like a dragon, hell even DQ11 just wanted to take you for a ride.
Where later Final Fantasy games (excluding the MMO), really need to chill on trying to create a epic cinematic universe before the game exists. To take a quote from Family Guy, “It insists upon itself.”
Real things that will fuck you up.
I can’t think of any others right now Im really fucked up after this combination
I’m actually curious… What are these called? I want one for boxes this shaped.
I am overweight, on the BMI scale anyways.
But in an office setting, I’m rather normal sized. Put me in a line of 100 people, and I’m easily in the top 20 of not fat.
When I went to event in Europe and Asia, my God… I’m so fat. I was easily the fattest person at dinner, as I was ordering a meal and appetizers, then cleaning my plate.
creatively bankrupt as Palworld
Not disagreeing. Their other game, Craftopia, is also a blend of a bunch of mechanics of other games. The small indie Japanese studio is giving people what they want. And I’m rooting for them.
NodeJS has made me a very employable engineer.
I hope that last part wasn’t a joke at PHP’s expense.
I am actually surprised what PHP can do over the past few years. We converted a few critical REST APIs into PHP and it wasn’t just lightning fast, it’s also incredibly readable that we had non-PHP developers convinced it was the right move.
My hammer has solved every problem I’ve thrown at it.
This is crazy. I’m pretty wired into a lot of internet, from the days of IRC to quietly lurking on 4chan/bottom feeding reddit. I’ve learned of subcultures on Tumblr and the darkness of Twitter. I am one of those guys that gives a polite nod when you send me a meme - I’ve probably already seen it.
It’s crazy that I never heard of Dril, and reading the Wikipedia history makes me feel out of touch.
There’s a difference here.
Processes is HOW you do something. We have lots of processes. Like don’t deploy on Fridays. Don’t break something and disappear. Merge requests require another set of eyes. Etc.
Its all bundled into the “Be an adult”. It’s NOT a process, it’s a state of mind - a working agreement.
If you need that level of micromanaging where specific details needs to be codified, then this department isn’t for you.
I trust people not to be dumb fucks. And those who are get let go. The rest of the department is pretty happy to be working with competent adults.
I saw AC Valhalla was on sale and shrugged. I usually would buy a Ubisoft game and around $10-15. But fuck that.
Rather wait until they’re bankrupt and someone unfucks their games.
When I came into my job, my role was to create a new engineering department. I was inheriting 4 engineers from other departments. The company wanted me to create a “Working agreement” for this entire department, and gave me some examples. They were full of extra micromanage-y level things. Bullshit like how long bathroom breaks are, and how you conduct yourself in a meeting.
I wrote a working agreement just like the meme above (except instead of “Don’t be a Dick” it was “Be an Adult”).
Got the engineers to agree, on boarded 20 more engineers, and two years later, we have the highest happiness rating/productivity in the company and the CTO wants to know my secret.
I loved it when Amazon, Google, and Netflix got into the gaming industry and tried to throw billions of dollars and their startup software expertise to “revolutionize” game studios.
Only way for 100% certainty is to bone them all. 🏳️🌈
How the country votes has nothing to do with actual conservatives melting down
I have thanksgiving with only my wife and kids.
Then I have Friendsgiving, with a few friends and their family.
I haven’t seen my family in years except for video calls. Same for my kids, and wife and kids. Not that I dislike them. Or would be opposed to them staying in the same town.
My family members are toxic, and after I moved, we never bothered.
I think more people should do that.
Id say a 1/3 of the games had NESHard energy. Some reviewers even said the first game listed was probably the worst experience for someone to play and starts people off with a bad taste.
I forced myself to play single game and absolutely found 10 games that were fascinating.
I also wonder if I approached it from a budding game developer, and how they recreated some modern experiences in a pure NES environment.
