Alternator died during a track day about 200 miles from home, on a weekend.

Tried to get home with just the battery.

Died about halfway there. Got a tow to a shop.

I think the total was $2k? I’m still paying for it.

Try an old air cooled one - they are closer to a Miata than a 991 in size.

I would not kick it out of bed for eating crackers.
