Honestly, I’d probably drill the ends to keep it from spreading, clean the hell out of it, JB Weld, and paint over once it’s cured.

I have some Freightliners with the GM 6.6 gas engine that drink a quart or two in a few thousand miles. It’s not great, and now with a 10k change interval with a 5w30 I’m sure they are going to go through far more.
