Motorists will be able to travel on the newest section of Perth's Mitchell Freeway from Monday, after the completion of a 5.6 kilometre extension to the northern suburb of Alkimos.

Perth motorists will be able to use the new Mitchell Freeway extension to Alkimos from Monday.

The $232 million freeway extension was officially unveiled at a ceremony on Sunday and has extended the road by 5.6 kilometres north from Hester Avenue to Romeo Road, creating new freeway access points in Perth’s growing northern suburbs.
