I’d much prefer native plants in a lawn to just a concrete jungle or grass

Amen. Lawns are a blight on society. They contribute nothing and suck up huge amounts of water and other resources.

Trees and flowering plants would be far more beneficial.

Lawns only really belong on public sports fields.
