People Who Drive on Eco Pro Mode, How Much Savings Do You See?

Been using it lately and notice the car gets significantly slower which sucks but wondering if people who have used it long term see considerable savings.

It seems that only eco disengages the transmission so I use it when I get off the mountains or situation where you can see similar conditions.

That being said , I drove 1400 km(~870 miles) in ECO Pro, mostly highways at about 140 km/h and the “additional distance” I gained was about 6 kms(4 miles?).

The way back, I did the same in Comfort and there seemed to be no difference whatsoever.

    Talking about G31 540i xDrive

Totally agree with this. My g30 540ix is more economic on long drives in Comfort than in Eco Pro when driven carefully.

I think I have noticed the same, but I thought I was going insane so decided not to share :D

For me, it was fairly substantial. Eco for some 70% highway journeys I was getting a consistent 32-33.

I tried out Comfort instead and hit 38mpg a couple of times now on long (50+ mile) trips. Certainly you have to choose to drive it carefully (as opposed to Eco where you are pretty much forced to drive sensibly) but I wasn’t manually coasting or anything special, just being smooth and gentle.

Maybe this is a unique 540ix observation.
