Hello,

I just went to oilchangers, yes that’s the actual name of the establishment

They forgot to tell me that I need my car off during the oil change… I drive a 2020 Prius.

They said it was fine as long as it wasn’t spitting oil back out and the car is a hybrid system.

Am I being lied to? This is my first time getting one on my own

You should ALWAYS take the keys out of the ignition and put them on the dash when a technician is working on your vehicle.

You could be the cause of a significant injury.

    It’s common sense.

Usually it’s on the business to ensure the safety protocols are followed. Common sense ain’t common. I’ve never been to an oil change place, so I’m not sure how it goes. But I would think the guy at the counter would go over the safety protocols and the mechanic would make sure the customer adhered to them. Too many boneheads on the street.
