Hi everyone,

When I bought my RAV4 Prime last month, I accepted some Aftermarkets to get out the door. I have a suspicion now that none of these were actually installed, because one of these was the Pro Pack floor mats and wheel locks, neither of which were provided.

Would anyone be able to give some indications of what to look for to know if the following are actually installed?

Appearance Protection - $795 Windshield Protection - $795 Clearshield 3M Protection - $395 Pro Pack - $695

They mentioned a door edge protector as part of Pro Pack too; don’t see/feel it on the inside of door, but maybe I’m not looking at the right place?

Any insight would be super appreciated. If these indeed aren’t there, I would love to get a refund for the up to ~$2700 they’ve simply straight up stolen and take them to small claims court if they refuse.

appearance protection is crap. the interior spray is the Scotch brand. you can buy the aerospace protectant for 10-15 dollars and do it yourself. the exterior is most likely wax spray or cermaic spray. you can do it yourself for 15-25 dollars.

does it cover coffee spills, rips in the seats for the interior? will they replace it or fix it? probably not.

windshield protection is a cermaic spray or that type of coating. you can do it yourself for a lot cheaper.

clearshield is ppf, which is good protection. i’m guessing it was only apples to the hood. you can tell that it’s on because it’s a plastic clear vinyl like that is applied.

the hell is a pro pack?

I got something like max shield added on at the very end for an extra 500 dollars and the pieces of shit forced me to pay or walk out as they knew there were plenty of other buyers that wanted that Prius prime. It’s PDR up to 4 inches done 3 time ovee the next 3 years or something.

They also charged me 1500 for ceramic coat which I guess was the shitty spray on garbage because the coating I did myself for 25 dollars is much better.

To top it off they forgot to add windshield wiper fluid and put my charger in my car (they had to ship it to me later). So that’s fucking bullshit.

Fuck them. Fuck dealerships. They can go fuck themselves. I’m in school to be a dentist and those fucking cunts told stories about how other dentists scammed them. They can go fuck themselves. What the fuck. They literally scam people every god damned day.

That really sucks, I’m sorry that happened to you. The Primes especially have been quite challenging to get, and the dealerships definitely know that. Overall, it really made me miss my Subaru dealership experience for my last car where they treated me really well (and I recently read too that Subaru of America has expressly asked its dealerships to avoid market adjustments, which is pretty neat in this sales environment)
