It is a fantastic vehicle with good range, decent charging, impeccable safety, built-in Android interface and Google Maps, and older models sell for similar prices to the Ioniq 5 / ID4 etc. I test drove it and it is luxuirous, comfy, and just a great and beautiful car. I don’t even see it mentioned almost ever.

I’m guessing perhaps the range, but the 2024 RWD model has around 300mi and AWD 256mi of range. Older ones around 220mi. I’m considering it above all others I’ve driven because it has better ride height and viewing angles for me as I’m tall with a very long torso.

Regular Car Reviews just did a review of the Volvo C40. He said its the best EV for this year. The XC40, being the same thing, Im sure would rate just as high

Too pricey for what it is. I ordered one but 61k was too much. Also the different trim levels pissed me off. That being said, I am considering a used one.

I was about to pull the plug on an XC40 when they announced the EX30. I like the smaller size so I put down a deposit. Have to wait until 2024 though :)

The C40 (and Polestar 2) was on my shopping list, but the CMA platform has a tiny 2nd row seat and legroom space. The fact Volvo had to share platform with the gas powered XC40 T5 AWD shows.

I did love the way it drives, and the Polestar 2 with the perf pack even more. If only I didn’t have to drive my grandparents around as much…

I honestly think it’s because the range was crap until this year.

    I yearn for a 2024 XC40

I considered buying it in 2020, but it was expensive and had less range/efficiency than I wanted for cross country road tripping. It was also a bit smaller than I preferred. Otherwise it’s an awesome rig!

We considered it, and bought it. The volvo dealer here was clueless and swore they didn’t have one on the lot. “It is sitting right there, parked directly across the lot from your front door, I promise.” They knew nothing about EVs. So we got a good deal. My wife loves it for her daily commuter. We will never purchase another ICE again. The volvo (even though it is 2022 and has less range) has great interior quality, not one time has needed to go to the shop, and is comfortable like no car I have ever owned. GREAT car.

My son picked up a RWD PS2 and loves it. Great range, good charging speed and it is fun to drive. It’s NOT an XC40 but it’s also cheaper here in Canada.
