It is a fantastic vehicle with good range, decent charging, impeccable safety, built-in Android interface and Google Maps, and older models sell for similar prices to the Ioniq 5 / ID4 etc. I test drove it and it is luxuirous, comfy, and just a great and beautiful car. I don’t even see it mentioned almost ever.

I’m guessing perhaps the range, but the 2024 RWD model has around 300mi and AWD 256mi of range. Older ones around 220mi. I’m considering it above all others I’ve driven because it has better ride height and viewing angles for me as I’m tall with a very long torso.

I considered it a lot myself last year, and earlier this year, but I was more interested in the C40 (more for style, I didn’t mind the loss in space). I ultimately chose something else because the range wasn’t remotely best-in-class and I wasn’t comfortable with what could end up being a very expensive car (service-wide) in 5 years, and I felt like it would just feel outdated over a long period of time (especially since Volvo has more EV’s coming that feel more fresh and compelling).

They are fantastic vehicles, but to me they just aren’t the best option in their category or price range.
