I went to walmart to get my tires changed and they altered the miles on my car. When I went in it was at 102,860 and now its at 103,000. This is surely illegal right?? And there is no way they used my car for 140 miles bc it was just in a shop. They also did that when I got my oil changed. They went from 101 to 102 thousand miles

Yeah thats just not something they can do. It’s not like they can just change the mileage, not how it works.

Maybe they drove it without your consent, but I also doubt that.

Have them check for a carbon monoxide leak in your car. That can cause problems with the… operator.

Theres no way that anyone altered the mileage on your car during a tire change or oil change unless they physically drove it that far. It is possible that you or the tech wrote down your mileage incorrectly when the vehicle was checked in, unless you have a photo of the odometer immediately before and after.

Walmart barely has the technology to remove and install tires, they definitely don’t have the tech needed to alter mileage.
