    Electric aircraft are mostly a novelty at this point. even for training, they simply don’t have the range to be very useful. Flight schools need quick turnaround on their trainers, most of them will fly literally all day and this is not a practicality for electric aircraft right now.

    As of today this aircraft barely has enough range to complete the necessary XC flight requirements let alone returning to base with reserves. These are basically useful for pattern work and maneuvers in close proximity to their home field.

    Additionally, this thing is woefully underpowered and will struggle getting 2 standard Americans aloft

      Harbour Air in Victoria BC has already been testing electric seaplanes for the short puddle jumper trips they fly and plan to electrify their entire fleet. Electric planes may never have the range of the ones we have today but they can be perfectly practical for tasks that fall within their abilities.
