So hard to tell the difference between the two colors when not in the sunlight. The amethyst is a bit more purple, and the mahogany is more chocolate, but it changes with the light. Lovely color regardless!

I like the combination of rims and paint! Definitely going to do some tests on mine to see if I like it.
