It’s star to look like the war is finally over but I mean honestly how much better can they get before they are just full blown pcs that was kinda the draw for consoles in the first place……oh your too poor to afford a gaming pc here try this you can still play games for a fraction of the price

I love Bethesda games. Fallout is one of my favourite series around. I also loved Mass Effect. I did not like Starfield at all, and I expected to love the shit out of it. Was very disappointed with Starfield.

I tried Fallout for the first time a couple of years ago, with Fallout 4 on Series X. Probably gave it 3-4 hours, just couldn’t get into it.

Thought maybe it was the setting, or the graphics.

Was excited to try a new Bethesda title in Starfield. Figured the setting is right up my alley (I loved Destiny and was intrigued by No Mans Sky, Outer Wilds, etc.)

I feel like I’m forcing myself to play this game, and am enjoying it even less than Fallout. It’s just…boring.

Maybe it’s me. Maybe these are just not my type of games. I hate it because I really want to like the game(s)/genre, especially since so many others do.

One of the worst and most hyped games to exist yet. All my friends lost their shit looking at the trailer watching the Xbox event. Sorely disappointed with that purchase, played for 30 hours just to feel like I got my money’s worth but felt like I was scammed even more. Their engine just isn’t up to date, there are tiny indie developers making better looking games in UE5 than Starfield. So many years in development yet it is still bad.

I also feel like Bethesda formula of making you feel like the Chosen one was lost in this one, you are just a random person. You also had more immersion even with Skyrim wonky NPCs. Thank god Rockstar and CDProject Red are still being amazing though. Playing Cyberpunk 2.0 and replaying RDR2 really made me feel much better (RDR2 still looks and plays way better btw)

I have a PS5 & Series X. Honestly, the Xbox is just a far better console (minus the controller). My PS5 constantly locks up when games are paused in the background for watching Netflix or console rest. If it doesn’t lock up, I find myself having to reload the entire game anyway. With the Xbox, this problem never happens and the quick resume is near instant.

Well if you just wanna chill at your couch and play stuff xbox with the gamepass works like a dream. I 've had 100+ games available since day 1 (and yes, many of them are really, really good) while my friends have 3-4 games on the ps5 max.

Not saying one is better than the other, but there are a lot of people like me out there who see the value of the whole xbox package. Don’t know what’s so hard to believe.

That’s a statement you pulled out of your head.

As I said, there are people who are perfectly happy with 3-5 games a year, and there are people who are perfectly happy with the gamepass.

Statements like “I cant believe more people would own an xbox!!!” make absolutely no sense. Xbox targets a very different crowd. Its definitely a smaller one, but its still a sizeable market segment.

Xbox isn’t beating the PS5 in any part of Europe, it’s just a poorly written and phrased article and headline. The percentage by which the PS5 is outselling Xbox is lower in the UK than in the other countries cited, but still more than double.

It’s easily available here in Poland, but I guess that depends if you consider Poland central or eastern lol. I think Poles don’t like being considered Eastern, but I could be wrong.

That said, I think it’s natural PlayStation would lead in the console market.

I used to always buy Xbox. Until PC gamepass became a thing. I now buy a PlayStation because I can play all of Xbox biggest games on my PC and I have no need for an Xbox, and I imagine it’s the same for a lot of others.

    1. Xbox has no zero blockbusters (they butchered Halo, for crying out loud)
    2. Microsoft does zero marketing or advertising of Xbox to anyone outside North America and the U.K.
    3. Microsoft doesn’t support the smaller regional languages that Sony does.

I hope actually an big game like GTA 6 meight save both consoles and make it worth an buy.

This is the problem with Xbox. Why buy one when you can get PS and Switch for console exclusives and a PC for both useful stuff and to play all the Xbox games because it seems like none are actual Xbox exclusives anymore, just console & PC.

By that logic no reason to get a ps either. There are like 3 PS exclusives at the moment that make a ps worth purchasing over a much useful and stronger pc for the same price.

2 of these 3 exclusives will be ported over to PC eventually. Spiderman 2 and gow Ragnarok are bound to be ported over. GoT will probably be ported too.

If we talk about PS5 only, then yeah, 3 exclusives. If we include games with PS4 versions, the amount increases. But sure, if you wanna wait for who knows how long for PC ports then no reason to get a PS.

Point is, only 3 proper exclusives which are all but confirmed to be ported to pc,2 in the very near future, it does not make any sense to get a ps5 anyways wheter you like to wait or not.

I do not know what privileged community anyone will have to belong to in order to justify getting an entirely different and expensive system for playing only 3 games you cannot play, for now, over or in addition to a 100x more useful and much better system for the same price. It just does not look economically viable at all.

You can’t even play online without paying a fucking subscription monthly.

Out selling doesn’t mean it’s a objectively better console. It’s been known in the speed running community for some time now that Xbox objectively is better due to faster loading times. The loads are fast enough to compete with pc speed running load times for some games.

Loading times… that’s your judge… then I’m sorry to tell you that PS5’s SSD is twice as fast and nearly all multiplatform games PS5 loads 30-40% faster. And in fact PS5 allows you to load save games directly from the home screen.

Also, the PS5 uses standard PC M.2 SSD’s to the cost of upgrading the storage is about 1/3 of the cost of the proprietary xbox SSD cards. And PS5 can support an SSD as large as 8TB vs 2TB max on xbox so if you want more than 2TB you have to buy more over priced cards and swap them all the time.
