Was at a ‘Friendsgiving’ and a guy was talking about the Tesla Model 2 being an entry-level Tesla that would rival the Toyota Camry pricewise. But I don’t see why Tesla would cut into their Model 3’s sales like that. Plus the model 3 is fairly cheap nowadays with price cuts
The low cost vehicle is absolutely in the works, and looks to be 3 years away, for volume production. It will share a common platform with the Robo taxi. It will be built using an unboxed parallel production process. It’s going to be manufactured first in Texas, then Mexico and Berlin. It will be technically advanced, but a utilitarian vehicle. This is all public information. It is speculation, that it may use a sodium ion battery, and may also be made in India.
