    This is the US losing the car market to the Japanese all over again. Similar to last time in the '70s when it was small, economic cars, this time it’s losing it to EV and PHEVs because innovation runs slowly with legacy manufacturers (you too, Toyota). How long will it be before the legacy manufacturers are complaining that Chinese EV companies are dumping cars into the US market?

    US companies: Invest now even if the ROI is a few years off or plan on buying your tech from offshore.
