I’ve seen a lot of posts on the low costs of maintenance and lack thereof. Is their mandatory maintenance from the dealership to stay in good standing for warranty?
Tires, wiper fluid etc sound like things I could just do and avoid going in. I ask because some of the dealerships are about an hour away. May not be worth the trip.

The past 4 years, the regular maintenance has been tire rotation and their full check and fluid top off. Tire rotation has been around 17 bucks every 7k miles or so.
My extended warranty has paid for itself as there were some failures in parts that have cost more than what I paid for the extended warranty. The service techs have been way more laid back about the warranty than the sales person. I figure the real reason is the manufactures need better maintenance data and how the cars wear over time.

My BMW i4 has two items on the official Scheduled Maintenance list; “Brake Check” and “Vehicle Check”. Not even mileage based, just both every 2 years.
Windshield wiper fluid is irrelevant to a factory warranty and not something you need to go to a dealer to do. Just fill it up with a bottle of stuff from your local auto parts store.
Tires are usually irrelevant to the factory warranty. I don’t believe new car warranties usually cover the tires since they are a wear item. If you buy some sort of dealer-add-on tire warranty package, they might require you to bring it there for rotations or some such nonsense.
As a Kia owner, I’ve never heard of a annual coolant flush. None of the service appointments have had that. Similiar to the poster below, I recall the manual recommending something about the coolant flush every few years or X amount of miles (maybe 60k or so off the cuff).
Get the recommended service guide from the manufacturers website. Same as an ICE car. Everything has a maintenance interval.
