My rack and pinion went on my car, they seem to be unable to find aftermarket or reman So it comes down to pulling one from a yard and installing it for 1300 Or getting an OEM with installation like above for 2600. Car has over 165,000, mi. Other than that though it’s been going great.

What would you suggest?

The first place I went to dealership tried to charge me 3900

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’m leaning towards the 1300. Even if it breaks, I could always do it again and it’s less money out of pocket

    Don’t buy a reman anyway, they’re usually junk. I’d vote for finding an Accord with a rear end collision or similar so you know it was in working condition before being wrecked and pull its rack.
