Hey all,
Just bought a 2024 Mazda3 and checked the section of the manual on using tire chains. It says to put the chains on the rear wheels and explicitly says not to put chains on the front wheels. But this is a FWD vehicle, and every other website I’ve looked at about tire chains says to put the chains on the drive wheels. Does anyone know why Mazda is saying not to do it this way?

What is it with all these chains posts? Is this really that common of a thing in 2023?
That’s a typo in your manual. Chains always go on the primary drive wheels.
that is indeed weird. the online manual for the Mazda 3 says it should be in the front wheels
