I have a 2009 RAV4 and I took it to the dealership and of course they quoted me an arm in a leg, Just wanted to know what I should get fixed first. What is a priority I know it all has to get fixed but I don’t even know where to start TIA

Most important thing is the ball joints. Needs a second opinion on the control arm.

Just beware that dealerships will usually add on a bunch of “recommendations” that you could take somewhere else and get a second opinion as someone else has said. Oil change, filters are regular maintenance, the leaky ball joints are iffy… a little leakage is fine and normal, it’s just grease that’s in there. It’d be different if the boots were worn out and torn, same for the mounts …the control arms are literally big pieces of metal, maybe they want to just replace the whole arm with ball joints? Idk what the set up is on your vehicle.
As far as the suspension stuff, I would get a second opinion without mentioning what the dealership said and see if it matches their diagnosis before chopping your arm and leg.

    EDIT: grammar.
