Curious what problems snuck up on you and what it took/cost to be repaired.

2003 911 coupe (6MT) with 79k when I bought it in 2020. Water pump (original) was weeping when I got it and had that replaced for about $1,000 with a new serpentine belt and coolant flush. Other than that I’ve only had to do fluids, spark plugs/coils, engine mounts, and a couple suspension bits due to worn bushings. The only other things that have broken have been the vanity mirror covers (both driver and passenger’s side broke off at the same time, common issue on these cars). With all the doom and gloom about 996/M96 reliability, I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how easy this car has been to own.

Vanity mirror is an easy fix just grab the $30 pair off Amazon and they should snap right in.
