When driving in city/commute. Are you using the start/stop for the engine to stall when you are stopping or you always disable it. Some mechanics are telling me it could cause problems to leave it enabled.

    I personally never turn it off.

    I’ve had several cars over the years with start/stop and I don’t mind it at all. In fact I quite enjoy the silence when I’m stuck in traffic or at traffic lights.

    If I don’t want the engine to stop because I’m at a junction, roundabout, or something else then I just move the gear stick into sport and it won’t shut off.

      i like this idea, thanks, i’ll keep it on and when i see its not the case to have it on, i’ll just switch my gear to sport to avoid the short stops.

      You don’t even need to move it to sport. You just need to come up off the brake pressure a touch, in my experience. Not even enough to start moving, and the engine will fire back up.
