Subaru of America COO Jeff Walters has announced the Forester Hybrid will arrive about a year after the regular model with a Toyota electric motor and battery.

So it starts with the 2.5L this year instead of the 2.4 because…?

Why put development resources into a dead-end platform right before it gets changed out?
