Anyone every convert to manual brakes?

I have a project car and basically will be replacing the whole system. I was looking at a manual brake setup. Is it comfortable for street and even some road track driving?

Older car doesn’t have abs, just looking at some options.

Yes I know I need a master/caliper/proportioning valve al configured to be compatible.

    And idea completely outside the box here is an electric booster (from a Tesla). Ive installed 2. One in an E30 in one in a 2002. Fairly compact in size. Easy to wire. Limited on MC sizing.

    The E30 had a manual setup from Chase Bays that I hated. Switched over to an electric booster and its great. Id never go back.
