Purchased my first Toyota today. Wanted a 2024 Prius but they’re near impossible to come by where I’m at, and dealers are marking them up like crazy. Ended up with a 2024 RAV 4 Hybrid LE.

Stated MSRP for the model was nearly $32K, with dealer add ons and markups, the asking price was $39K. After taxes, fees, etc, the out the door price was over $48K.

We negotiated down to $39K, then afterwards I offered a trade for my 2016 Chevy Cruze and left with an out the door price of $35K.

Was this a good deal? I’m not as excited about this purchase as I thought I would be because I have no reference for if I got ripped off or not. It’s only my second ever car purchase and the first car was a grand total of $20K, so the much higher price tag stings a little.

Yeesh. And then you even give em your Cruze for a measly 4 grand. In today’s market. 😂😂

84 month loan, 11 percent interest too?

Bro if I’m gonna go look at a car for almost 32k and they tell me it’s gonna be 48k, I’m laughing and walking

Can you add a picture of your sale bill with all the numbers broke down? You should be able to cancel your added on warranties if it’s before 30 days you get full refund. Read your warranty paperwork.

The worst part is you only got $4k for your Cruze, depending on mileage you probably could have sold it for $10-12k.
