Heya guys, been getting used to doing my own fixes for my car, so I’m lacking a bit of the maybe common-sense knowledge for some of this stuff.
What does the housing actually do, and should I replace it to be safe?
For posterity, I have a 2010 Avenger SXT 2.4L
If your engine is running at proper temps as well as proper coolant level,and the blower fan works the first things that comes to mind would be a heater core blockage or stuck blend door actuator. You do not want to play parts roulette though and mess with things that ARE working. You could use a laser thermometer on the inlet and outlet of the heater core hoses and see what the temps are (with engine at operating temp). I would start there.
