I may have found the right 997.1, but the dealer from which I would be purchasing it told me it appears to have high flow catalytic converters and an x-pipe, and that it wouldn’t be emissions-compliant in California. Lucky for me, I’m not in California, but I’m also not all that familiar with Pennsylvania (my state) emissions rules. Is this something that could be an issue for me? And how would these items change the performance and sound of the car? Thx!

Recently relocated to Bucks County in eastern Pa. Have a 992 GT3 with headers, sport cats and valved exhaust from Soul Performance which happens to be a Pa. company. I spoke with the shop I was taking it to for inspection ahead of time and they said the same things others have said, no CEL then no problem even in CARB specific counties. Next year I will probably be exempt for emissions testing because of low miles, but still required to have a safety inspection. Interestingly, my 2023 F250 diesel doesn’t require emission testing at all, though with all the recent attention to diesel tuning I suspect that this will ultimately change.
