A very compelling package if it released 3-5 years ago, but now I see two major issues:
1: The Luxury SUV market will be saturated by then, with the drop of from my count the Model X, BMW iX, Porsche Macan, and a plethora of Chinese OEMs that I can’t name
2: It’s an $80,000 SUV that looks like a Buick. It just looks incredibly tame and reserved which I really don’t think is a huge segment of the target audience
yeah, the Full Fat Range Rover BEV will likely hit the market at the end of next year too. But that will easily be north of $100K U.S.
The BMW iX M60 I tested the other day was $120K. No dealer markup in that, just had all the stuff. Only one I could find around here with the adaptive air suspension too because the parts shortage has hit everyone.
This should’ve come out first, but it looks great. Definitely on my list for my next car
That looks awesome.
I feel like the weird lines that don’t work for me on the Air work better on the Gravity. Similar to how the EQS SUV looks better (to me) than the EQS sedan, the Gravity looks more like a chunky SUV, which is what buyers of such a thing I think want.
I know they’re going to be selling at a loss at $80k (if that spec ever is sold) but compared to Rivian, Tesla, Merc, and Volvo 3 row EV options, this should sell like hot cakes (if they market well enough to their target market).
Bankruptcy awaits Lucid, the Gravity will not save them. Should have taken a R2 approach like Rivian.
They need to start selling this thing ASAP.
I doubt we’ll see sub-$80K trims on sale anytime soon. I’m guessing all that will be available are $120K trims until 2026 if they haven’t gone bankrupt by then.
Well there is a press release with scam written all over it. It has red flags everywhere.
Phillip.
Starting at $79,999
“Yay”
More toys for the super rich … just what we don’t need
Lucid needs to get a flagship affordable model lol
There are definitely some things that look nice about this vehicle. But it really needs to be about four feet less long, a foot less tall and wide, half as much ground clearance, normal 15" tires, and half or less the weight. Oh, and 1/3 the price. To gain all that I’d be willing to give up half the range and probably some of the luxury features.
Front view nice. Side rear 3/4 not so much. They should have built this first.
Apparently the new definition is station wagon.
Looks great. They’ve picked an effective design language in which to iterate.
I feel like some of these companies are really neglecting how useful a midsize pickup or even a smaller car would be extremely useful for some of us out here. I’m glad Fisker is trying a truck, but that looks like it’ll be crazy expensive as well.
Hopes and dreams I guess.
Is a 6,000lbs electric SUV the answer to literally any question?
I honestly don’t get it.
I spy turn signal stalks! How innovative!
But in all seriousness I like it. Wouldn’t mind having one if money were no object.
