minus-squaregruss_gott@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year agoI bought my factory winter wheel/tire set in Oct 2021 during the supply chain insanity … they arrived in March 2022. Will Michelin Pilot Sport 4 Ss make it through a PNW winter? Yeah, but it’s a nail-biter.
minus-squareten10thsdriver@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year agoNo. Don’t even try. I got caught off guard one cold day with PS4s on my i4 and regretted it. Installed my winter set the next day. My M2 Competition gets stored on my lift or parked on flat stoppers from November to March so I just leave the PSSs on.
minus-squareRunninOnMT@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year agoPNW winters are the worst for this. Don’t swap tires? Oh sorry it snowed and you won’t be able to go anywhere for three days. Swapped tires? Oh sorry. It won’t snow for the next two years all winter long.
minus-squaren0t_4_thr0w4w4y@alien.topBlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 year agoUhh, probably not. A 4S will not really work if it’s wet and below about 40 degrees, which is a big chunk of PNW winters.
