I had driven the car for maybe an hour or so and then didn’t drive it for 4 or so days, today I started backing out of my driveway and when I pushed the brake to go into drive it made a click sound at the pedal, then the light turned on and the brakes stop just as fast however I have to push the pedal further down to make them engage, whats the issue? I was also a little risky and drove it for roughly 2 hours after the light turned on

Gonna take a wild guess that the brake light switch has come out of position or broken. Maybe the pedal is coming up a bit more than usual because the brake switch is out of position.
