Next generation (2025, 2026+) BEVs will be the tipping point for the auto industry.
When BEVs have 500 mile+ per charge capacity, charging infrastructure becomes abundant, and 350kW+ charging is ubiquitous (<15 min recharges), there will no longer be any value proposition for ICEs whatsoever (outside of hobbyists).
Amazing how fast the change is happening.
Agree or disagree?
If the ID Buzz even comes close to the odyssey and Sienna then we are getting somewhere.
If Toyota puts out an EV or PHEV Tacoma that would be a big move.
If Honda and Toyota get their shit together and release EV Camry, Corolla, accord, civic then EVs would be 50% of new car sales in the USA.
The Buzz is pretty small. In Europe it is more obvious because they still sell the „real“ van as ICE in its 7th generation and demand for that is still strong. Much larger.
They really are dragging their feet on this
Eh, Toyota and Honda appear to be giving away their market share to Hyundai-Kia.
Kia EV9 is the car made for US suburbia.
