First one I’ve actually seen driving on the road. They look pretty good but wow they are big!

I just hate how big and heavy cars are getting, even these “small” “sporty” cars. A car of this size should be light af.

Bring back the 1M and focus on weight and size please.

I don’t care about cars having 500 hp if they drive and feel like a pig.

I weighed my 1M a few years ago and it was 3280 lbs—-now I feel like every car is 3800lbs :(

But most people who have driven them agree they don’t drive and feel like pigs. The M2 is quite nimble and hides its weight very well.

If you want a smaller sporty car there are better options (Supra) but M cars nowadays are supposed to be a blend of a sport car and daily driver.

I am sure it does—-they try to engineer the mass and weight of it and i am sure they succeed to some degree!! But having driven even lighter cars I get the feeling like Colin Chapman alluded to that lightness is the key to true handling

F10 M5 is notorious for hiding its ridiculous weight. Tight U turns you need to kick out the rear end on to execute with speed, but any normal road condition is handled with the ease of a much lighter vehicle. Scary, really.

I would buy a car that was designed to be as heavy as an Elise, with similar handling, yet still be usable, so maybe like a 2 door, smaller version of the F80 M3.

The really stupid part is that the G87 and the G82 are basically the same weight. It’s something like 50 lbs difference, but the G82 is tuned for more power.

That was the case with the F87 Comp as well. it’s actually heavier than the F82
