Girlfriend has a 2015 VW Tiguan. 8th digit of vin is X. Engine light came on, took it to Oreilly’s and got a cylinder misfire on 2 & 4. I replaced the spark plugs and swapped the ignition coils to the opposite cylinders. Still the same error, same cylinders. Took it in to the garage that worked on my car’s brakes for a good price but really unsure about this quote. What do y’all think?
Thank you to everyone who took the time to look into this and provide some constructive feedback! I called the garage and he’s going to ensure that the mechanic did a compression test before they start doing any work. I’ll be reminding my girlfriend to gun it occasionally to remove the buildup from now on.
