Some sad scumbag cut out my drivers side catalytic converter on my 2003 Toyota Tundra 4.7 L. My insurance is able to handle it but it’s the only vehicle I have access to and need it to drive to and from work for the next couple days. Aside from having the windows rolled down due to carbon monoxide and the insane noise, is there any real crazy danger. Was wondering about potential fire but I usually only have a 15-30 minute commute dependent on traffic. Any advice is appreciated, thank y’all!
I would get a temporary repair with some flex pipe. Just slide it over both ends and use a seal clamp. You may get a check engine light due to improper back pressures depending on your vehicle and its software
The only reason you’re going to have problems with back pressure is if you run it straight out of the head. And there is 0. Cars don’t really need back pressure.
