    I’ll bite, and play the devils advocate. Are there any stress fractures on the pad itself? Simply having the meat isn’t enough; need to ensure it’s still working as intended.

    That said, I do agree that there are honest people out there that must follow policy and they will recommend whatever their bosses tell them is necessary.

    This is the price you pay to have that fancy warranty. I got the extended warranty because it was a no brainier, but I’m planning to maintain the car myself because I plan to keep it a lot longer than 100k.

    After a 120k even the dealer doesn’t know WTF to do other than to try and sell you a new car.

    Toyota usually doesn’t die unless the user something stupid. Keep putting in fresh oil at recommended intervals and fix whatever items get worn like tires, brakes and coolant.
