I know iOS 17 was recently released, but what would you like to see in iOS 18?
I would like them to update mail, everyone knows that Apple works best with their own products, apps, etc, and obviously Mail is better integrated with the Apple ecosystem, but the app sucks.

Stop with the air quality/clean energy/COVID stuff. The Mother Earth ad was bad enough. Now I’m getting political lobbying ads on my phone? This is completely out of line for Apple.
Mmmm I’m not sure but I think you can disable it
- Customisation such as icon backs, transparent backgrounds in widgets, freedoms to place icons anywhere.
- Ability to change the default voice assistant.
- Sideloading apps.
- Battery life and general performance improvement if possible.
According to rumors Apple is working hard to improve Siri and include artificial intelligence, so I see it quite difficult for them to change the voice assistant.

Move the setting for the different video formats and resolutions from the Settings App to the Camera App so you can easily choose from a shortcut before you start recording. I don’t want ALL my videos to be 4K/60, especially if they’re gonna use space in iCloud.

VisionOS is shaping pu to be Apple’s nicest looking OS, i would love to see ios 18 adopt that design language.
To be able to set a “default” notification.
Like none of apps except a few ones are allowed to have sound notifications. Every time I install a new app, I need to go into the settings and uncheck “make sound”.
Even shorter battery life! Get it down to 45 minutes, please!
A change in the design language of 1st party apps to eliminate pop-ups (which will hopefully encourage 3rd party apps to follow).
I’m ridiculously tired of opening apps, and they need to do a little animation to tell me about some new feature, or to ask for a rating, etc. Popups are a horrid user experience and Apple needs to lead the way towards getting rid of them.
