Far too many posts on here are people hating on others choice of car. Guess what, not everyone wants a racecar with a gazillion horsepower that is not even useful on most roads except the autobahn. Here are some of the regulars

People just buy so and so BMW for the badge. That’s okay. People buy Rolex, Patek, LV for the logo too. Sometimes people just want to feel like they’ve achieved something they aspired to. No need to shit on them

BMW X1 is just a mini…yeah And? Minis are great cars too and X1 is actually one of the best in its class especially with regards to space and that is reason enough to buy it, badge aside

I don’t get why people buy the X2/X4/X6( insert even numbered car here), they are slow, large, less space etc. Again different reasons for people to buy a car. Some of these are actually pretty cars. And some people like pretty looking things.
Also if whatever car is not your thing, just jog on. No need to comment. Literally scroll past!

If BMW concentrated on making ONLY M cars, they’d be run out of business. The reality is the demand is family SUVs. There’s a reason why those are getting the highest sales.
I’ve driven X1s, 4 cylinder 2 series and the M series cars, and there’s a place for each one of them.
I’m sure half of them here who especially go for M this M that and nothing less have never driven a BMW let alone own one. Lol.

X4 and X6 are for people who want both SUV and Coupé in one car. I personally own an X4 with a 3l engine and It is fast and jump starts like a horse.
Also my wife hates non SUVs because she hates the feeling of sitting low on the road.
Many factors come into play when one picks a car. Not just performance, comfort and luxury. There should be compromises made anyway. There’s no all-rounder.

Have a g05 X5 with executive package and upgraded leather. It’s literally more comfortable than being in my living room. Back and arm warmers, melt.

LMAO @ all the people who say that an M-branded SUV is slow… the 2024 X5 M is 0-60 in 3.8 seconds and the M2 is 0-60 in 4.1 seconds. I mean, both of those are fast… the SUV just sucks more gasoline. That’s still pretty damn fast. The non-M models of the X-series vehicles are still very comfortable and VERY fast compared to down-market stuff like premium package Acura RDX and what not. So… I’d still choose a non-M X5 over a down-market premium package vehicle.
My lil X1 is fun to drive and it jams. I pull away from most cars especially accord or civic “sports” that people drive with their pedal to the floor. And the engine is reliable…you don’t say.
an X3 M40i is faster than an E92 M3 and almost as fast as an F80 m3… simply due to awd and ease of launch… top end is a different story but around town, the differences aren’t as large as one may think
